On May 29th and 30th, the PSC Fish Friends project finished up for the year. Students from Petitcodiac, Salisbury and Havelock schools took their salmon fry and released them on the upper Kennebecasis River where, hopefully, they will survive until adulthood.
These fry were hatched from eggs that were placed in aquariums at their schools, so the kids got to see them hatch and then got to see them released into their native habitat.
A very big thank you to our Fish Friends Committee Chairman, Jamie Underhill, his capable teacher Sterling Goddard and the other PSC volunteers, Milton Goggin, Dan Pollock and Larry Kinden.
The kids met back at the clubhouse for lunch provided by the club and prepared by our volunteers. A good time was had by all.
